HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD JUBILEE CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION TRUST

This Charitable Trust was formed in 1974 for the purpose of financing and encouraging research into illnesses and handicaps of children, whether caused by disease or accident.

Financing the care and treatment of children and the provision to fund further research.

In August 1999 the Hawke's Bay Medical Research Foundation Inc. was appointed Sole Trustee of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board Jubilee Children's Foundation Trust.

A recent grant of $1000 has been made to the H.B. Branch Epilepsy New Zealand to bring a visiting speaker, Dr Lynette Sadleir to speak during Epilepsy Awareness Week, 10th-16th September 2002

GEORGE FORSTER MEMORIAL TRUST

This Charitable Trust was established in 1993 in memory of the late George Forster. The purpose being to furthering the education of medical and allied staff in Hawke's Bay.

The main aim of the Trust is to sponsor lectures conducted by experts or specialists organised by the Trustees to be held in Hawke's Bay or elsewhere in New Zealand.

A further aim is byway of bursaries supporting educational programmes or attendance at such programmes by the medical and allied staff (full or part time) at such staff or any other public health institution in Hawke's Bay from time to time as the Trustees see fit.

The lecture or seminar held to be known and promoted as the George Forster Memorial Lecture.
