Press Release from Hawkes Bay Medical Research Foundation
The Hawkes Bay Medical Research Foundation is pleased to announce that it has made grants to the total value of $90,200 for medical research in the coming year.
Grants are made annually to recipients engaged in medical research, each recipient applies to the Foundation and a scientific committee then decides through a rigorous process the merits of each application. Each application must be judged on health significance, scientific merit, designs and methods, expertise and track record of the research team and strong Hawkes Bay content.
President Andrew Wares said;
“No advancements in Medicine are possible without research. The five recipients are working on medical research relating to Acrobacter, Medication use, Diabetes and Asthma that in time could have direct significance to the health and wellbeing of our community in Hawkes Bay.”
